The Whittingtons Visit Virginia

Tyler finished his block with great success and very good grades! I'm so proud of him! He is off this week and I arranged my schedule to be off most of the week as well. It has been wonderful to spend time together without med school in the way!

On Sunday Tyler's grandparents made the long drive from Mississippi for a visit. We really enjoyed having them! One of the things we really wanted to do while they were here was take them to the winery in Floyd, VA (http://www.chateaumorrisette.com/). We love to eat there on occasion and thought they would enjoy it too. We went for lunch (which was a new experience for Tyler and I) and did some wine tasting. It was wonderful as always! We actually have reservations for tonight because we did not know when we would be taking them so we are going to go back for a date night before a new block starts! I'm so excited!

This is a picture of the gang after a delicious lunch!
And I just had to put one of the Parkway. Most of the leaves have changed and started to fall but the view is still breathtaking!

I love it there! I used to go there with a girlfriend of mine about once a week to eat lunch! We always did the wine tasting:)
I've heard that you all have been so busy! That's good though, cause at least you get to work. I'm gonna be working at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. It's a 450 bed hospital with 3 ICU's. There is a CCU and 2 general ICU's. You basically float back and forth between the ICU's. One is 26 beds, one is 10 beds, and CCU is 15 beds, I think. I actually start on the floor next week and I can't wait! The orientation here is sooooooo long.
I'm glad you and Tyler are having some good time off together! Enjoy the winery tonight!
Miss you!
