Good Afternoon!
I recently moved away from all of my family and friends so I thought I would start doing a blog to help update y'all and keep up with some of my friends.
Tyler and I are doing wonderful here in Virginia! God has really blessed this move and everything that went along with it. We were able to buy a beautiful town house and I was able to find a job! I will be working nights so I will soon become nocturnal. We have made some good friends, the Edisons. Jos is going to be in Tyler's class at VCOM (this is short for his medical school's name that is way too long to type!) and his wife, Kim, will be in OT school. The best part is they live on our street within walking distance!
Tyler started school yesterday. This has been a dream of his since he was a little boy so I am so excited and proud for him to see this day actually come. I know his parents are so proud of him too and wish they weren't so far away for this special time. Speaking of parents, we are trying to decided when or if we will be able to go home close to Christmas. Being a nurse it is usually impossible to be off during the holiday time so we will just have to wait and see how my schedule goes. I have not started work yet but hopefully soon....I am going crazy being home all the time! I have been off of work now for about a month and I am past ready to be productive again. In MS I worked at UMC in the nursery and now I will be working in the adult ICU....talk about a BIG change! I am VERY excited about it though and looking forward to learning new things and perfecting my skills.
I have some housework to do so goodbye for now!

hello! :) i have linked your blog on my site, so hopefully people will find out about it that way, too! :) i'm glad to hear yall are doing well. we miss yall!
Ashley, Thanks so much for contacting me! I wish that we were still at VCOM so that we could welcome you, show you around (not that there's too much to show you around Blacksburg. Ha!), and get to know you both. You're right. Med School is quite the adventure. Hang on - the first year is the toughest. I'm sure with you working nights, it'll be even harder. But hold close to each other and before you know it, he'll have graduated and you'll be moving on to residency. I will peek in from time to time. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you ever need to chat or hear some words of encouragment from someone who went through the very same thing not so long ago. sarajworley@yahoo.com.
that's a beautiful picture! Is that close to you? And so cool that you and Sara got connected! I hope you enjoy your job when you start! :)
