I hope everyone is enjoying their long Labor Day weekend! Mine has been filled with politics, football, and relaxing.
First about the election. I am so excited about John McCain's choice for VP. I think Sarah Palin will be a great asset to his campaign. She has a strong personality and knows how to get things done. As a woman, she makes me proud because not only is she a strong political force but also a mother of 5! I think its great that she appeals to those female voters who would have voted for Hillary and didn't necessarily like Obama. Ugggh...don't even get me started on Obama. I may have to save that post for another day!
On to more exciting things...I'm surprised to say I'm glad football season is here! I really do enjoy football but sometimes I get burnt out quickly when its on allllll the time. I'm excited about attending a VT football game this season (if we can get tickets!) The atmosphere looks fun and it will be neat to be in a new stadium. Tyler and I are also going to an Ole Miss game next weekend. They are actually going to only about 1.5 hours from where we live since they will be playing at Wake Forrest so we will be heading down next Saturday. I'm excited and I know Tyler is. We are actually going with 2 friends (Sarah and Michael) from Tyler's class who are from Mississippi too. They are playing Memphis as we speak and are winning so hopefully they will have a good season this year and we will be able to watch them win.
